Wining and Dining with Outer Banks Restaurant Tours
March 14, 2014 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Do you think North Carolina only produces sweet wines? If so, you need to take this tour! Outer Banks Restaurant Tours will do the driving, so you can relax and savor the wine!
We’ll visit the only winery on the Outer Banks, Sanctuary Vineyards, for a private tour of the vineyards and the operations, an exclusive tasting of their wines, and a delicious lunch. It’s true that the native grape of North Carolina is the Muscadine, which is a sweet wine. But, at Sanctuary Vineyards, you’ll also find 10 acres of grapes representing several different varietals, including Sangiovese, Traminette, Albarino, Syrah, Chardonel, and others. These grapes produce an astounding variety of wines that will appeal to every palate. You’ll learn about the different grapes that are grown in the vineyards and about how those grapes go from the vine to the wine bottle. You’ll experience an amazing array of wines during your tasting. Then, you will have a lunch in the winery featuring the high-quality ingredients and freshly-baked breads from Coastal Provisions Market. If you enjoy wine, you’ll love this tour!
Pick-ups at the Waterfront Shops in Duck at 10:15am and at Coastal Provisions Market in Southern Shores at 10:30am – Look for the dark green van with Outer Banks Restaurant Tours signs on the sides!
