One of the most popular food events of years past is back -be it a be different this year.

The OBX Chowder Cookoff & Crawl will take place on Friday and Saturday, April 16 & 17 with fifteen of your favorite restaurants vying for title of the Outer Banks’ best chowder. This year’s cookoff will be done ‘crawl’ style, with several ticket options for you to choose. No tiny sample cups this year -tickets will be sold in 5-packs, and get a 6oz cup of chowder from 5 of the participating restaurants, grouped by location, to share with someone (or two, or three) you don’t have to worry about social distancing with. We have three groups: Kitty Hawk, KDH, and Hags Head/Manteo, each at $20 for the five cups. Want to try two groups? Great! But real Chowder diehards can get the ALL 15 ticket for just $50! That’s 15 cups of chowder to share and rate with your crew for only $50. All tickets include access to the Zoom judging event at 4PM on Sunday 4/18, where you can vote for your group’s People’s Choice favorite, and also see the results of the judges panel for the big cash prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ($1000, $500, & $250 cash prizes respectively). Trophy for top three as well, but of course the real kicker is, who’s going to win bragging rights for the 2021 best OBX Chowder? So gather your crew, and make your plan to pick up some amazing chowder (and maybe some additional take out while you’re there).
