NC Coast Grill & Bar, along with Red Sky Cafe, and the Pine Island Lodge present “Dinner in The Dark”

In 1999 a blind clergyman, Jorge Spielmann, wanted to convey the experience of blindness to sighted customers. The idea came from a guest who had dined at his home blind folded that reported greater enjoyment of their meal through the sense of taste and smell.

This will be a six course dinner and cocktail pairing at one of the most beautiful event homes on the OBX. Aperitif and cocktail time will begin at 6:00pm. The Pine Island dining room will be set up for formal dining service. The event will begin with a cocktail hour of passed appetizers and while the “rules” will be revealed, dietary restrictions will be noted and accommodated to the best of our ability, so your creative course dining, featuring Chef Wes Stepps’ global inspired menu and paired cocktails can be enjoyed with enhanced sense of smell and taste that can show you what you could never see with your eyes.

This is a first of a kind of event to the Outer Banks, adventurous diners is a prerequisite. Bon Apetite.
