Brews and Brats in Currituck
March 17, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
$31.50The afternoon will begin with a delightful and informative tour of our Brewery and Artisan Butchery hosted by Uli Benniwitz. Our “Farmer to Fork” principles, both in the Brewery and Butchery, are explained in a lively manner.
During the Brewery Tour, Uli will take you through our early beginnings in 1986 as the “First Micro-Brewery in the State of North Carolina” and the struggles he faced. Throughout the brewery tour the process of brewing according to Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law of 1516) will be explained as well as our different styles of Lagers and Ales. You actually get to see our working brewery in action along with all the aromas and noises that accompany it. To add to the fun you may even get a little beer sampling along the way.
From there you will be whisked off by Uli to our “State of the Art Artisan Butchery”. During this portion of the tour you will discover our Smokehouse as well as the butchering and packaging room. The Butchery is an important part of our facility that smokes and packages thousands of pounds of pork and beef products per year. We offer “Natural and Nitrate Free” butchery products that are produced in a facility that is USDA inspected daily.
And when the tour is over, it’s time to enter the Weeping Radish Restaurant. Here you will enjoy a generous sampling of 5 styles of Weeping Radish Sausages and a flight of 7 styles of Weeping Radish Brews. That’s right, 5 different sausages and 7 different styles of our beer! A sampling of our “Award Winning” Sweet Potato Liverwurst on a Crostini, our very own Sauerkraut, and our Currituck Curry Ketchup completes your Brews & Brats in Currituck experience at the Weeping Radish. Come and enjoy a Farmer to Fork adventure that is sure to entice every palate.
