Vintage Vantage: A Vertical Tasting of Trevisiol Prosecco, vintages 1985 – 1990

Join the Brine and Bottle’s co-owner, sommelier Ashley Whitfield Donovan, for a rare opportunity to taste and discuss six vintages of Prosecco from Trevisiol, a boutique sparkling wine producer located in Italy’s Veneto region.
Using Trevisiol’s non-vintage counterpart as a baseline, we’ll discuss the following: What are the characteristics we’ve commonly come to expect from Prosecco, and what affect has aging had on those qualities? Are the variations from year to year subtle or dramatic? What factors during each year may have played a part? Don’t miss this extraordinary chance to taste not only vintage Prosecco, which is unusual in and of itself, but six different vintages aged between 24 and 29 years.
The tasting will be accompanied by canapés from the Brine and Bottle’s kitchen.
